   Robert Mecay | Commanded it was to the Sherf of Kent County the Twenty
              at | third day of November in the Second Year of his Lord —
   Bryan Biggs | Ships Dominion &ca. That he take Bryan Biggs late of-

   planter if he Should be found in his Bailywick and him Safe keep So —
   that he have his body before his Said Lord Ships Justices of the next Court
   to be held at our Court house in the Town of Chester in Said County to
   Answer unto Robert Mecay of a plea that he render unto him the Sum -
   of Six hundred pounds of Tobacco of the value of five pounds Sterling
   which from him he unjustly detains &ca. And that he have then and
   there the Said writ &ca. . . Att which Said next Court vizt. the Eighteenth
   day of March the Same Year last mentioned the day of return of Said
   writ Came Simon Wilmer Gent~. high Sherf of Said County and made—
   return thereof in these words thereon Endorsed as folls vizt. Cepi Corpus
   pr S:Wilmer Sherf. . And A decln being fild when Said writ Issued &
   a Copy thereof Served therewith According to Act of Assembly in Such~
   Case made thereof Served therewith According to Act of Assembly in Such~
   Case made was as folls vizt. Maryland Kent County Ss Bryan Biggs late
   of Kent County ali Dics Briun Bigs of Kent County was Summoned to
   Answer unto Robert Mecay of a plea that he render unto him the Sum
   of Six hundred pounds of Tobo of the value of five pounds Sterling money
   of Great Brittain which from him he unjustly detains and Whereupon~
   the Said Plt by John Johnson his attorney Says that whereas the Said Deft~
   the fifteenth day of March in the Year of our Lord one Thousand Seven—
   hundred and fifteen at the Parish of Shrewsbury in the County afd and -
   within the Jurisdiciõn of this Court by his certain bill or writing obligatory
   Sealed with his Seale here into Court brought whose date is the Same day and
   Year afd did Acknowledge himselfe to be holden unto the Said Plt. in the Said
   Sum of Six hundred pounds of Tobacco of the afd value of five pounds Sterlg
   money of Great Brittaine to be paid to the Said Plt at or before the tenth day of October
   then next Ensuing Nevertheless the afd Deft altho’ often required ye Sd Sum of Six hundred pounds
   of Tobacco of the afd value of five pounds Sterlg money of Great Brittain to ye Sd Plt hath
   not rendered but to the Said Plt. to render hath hitherto gainsayd and Still doth
   gainsay to the damage of the Said Plt~ tenn pounds Sterlg & thereupon he—
   brings Sute &ca.   Johnson pr Plt~. pls. Jno Doe Richd Roe~
   And the Said Deft~ being called Came and the Said Plt by his afd Attry prays.
   that the Said Deft~ may give Special baile to the afd Accon which is granted
   and that he be kept in Safe Custody by the Sherf of Said County untill he Shall
   give Special baile as afd   And the afd Deft~. Saith that he Cannot gainsay
   the Accõn afd of him the Said Plt. nor but that the bill obligatory above
