   of Trespass of the Case And the Said Deft the Condemnation afd Shall not—
   Satisfie nor himselfe to the Custody of the Sherf of Said County deliver
   or that the afd Josiah Lanham the body of the Said John Jones.

   on which the Said Deft~ in his proper Person appeared to the afd
   Accõn And this Court make a rule tha the Said Deft. Plead to the
   afd Accon by the Twentieth day of March otherwise Judgment to be render[:]
  :ed for want of the Same But the Said Deft came into Court and Saith
   that he Cannot gainsay the Accõn afd of him the Said Plt nor but that
   he is indebted to the afd Plt the Sume of ffour hundred and fourteen
   pounds of Tobacco and thirteen Shillings Currant money the ballance
   as in the afd Decln: And is Willing that Judgment Shall be entered
   for the Same and Cost thereon Accruing:   Therefore it is Considered
   by the Court here vizt. this Twentieth day of March Annoque Domini —
   one Thousand Seven hundred and Seventeen That the afd Plt Samuel
   Philips do recover against the Said Deft John Jones as well the
   afd Sume of ffour hundred and fourteen pounds of Tobacco and Thirteen
   Shillings Currant money Damages by the afd Plt on Accot. of his not~
   performing his promises and assumptions afd and also the Sume of~
   ffour hundred and forty nine pounds of Tobacco Cost by the afd Plt about
   his Sute in this behalfe Expended and by the Court here of his assent
   adjudges and the Said Deft~. in mercy

             at | the Twenty third day of November in the Second .
   Christopher Young | Year of his Lord Ships Dominion &ca. That he take

   Christopher Young of Kent County in ye Province of Maryland Planter if he
   Shall be found in his Bailywick And him Safe keep So that he have
   his body before His Said Lord Ships Justices of the next Court to be held
   at our Court house in the Town of Chester in Said County to Answer unto
   Thomas Rush of the County & Province afd planter of a plea that he render
   to him ye full & just Quantity of Six hundred pounds of good Sound Merchan
  :table Leafe Tobacco in good & Lawfull Seasoned Casque of the value of Six
   pounds Sterling money which he unjustly detains &ca. And that he have~
   then and there the Said writ &ca. . .    Att which Said next Court viz the
   Eighteenth day of March the Same Yeare last mentioned the day of—
