   one pounds Eleven Shillings and Six pence Currant money of Maryland &
   the af^d. Sum of nine hundred and Sixty eight pounds of Merchantable Tob^o.
   Craftily to deceive and defraud the Sum of one pounds Eleven Shillings and
   Six pence Currant money of Maryland and nine hundred and Sixty eight
   pounds of Tob^o. the Same Def^t. to him the S^d Pltff. hath not paid nor made
   Content. for the Same Altho’ to pay the Same he the S^d Def^t. afterwards viz
   the twenty Second day of November in the year of our Lord Christ one
   thousand Seven hundred and Seventeen at the Parish County & Jurisdiction
   af^d. was thereunto required but he the Same Def^t. the af^d Sums of one pound
   eleven Shillings and Six pence Currant money of Maryland & the af^d. nine
   hundred and Sixty eight pounds of Tobacco to the Said Pltff. to pay or Content
   for the Same hitherto hath denyed and Still doth deny to the damage of
   him the Said Pltff. three pounds three Shillings of like money af^d. and one
   thousand nine hundred and thirty Six pounds of like tobacco af^d. & thereupon

   And the afores^d Pltff. by his af^d. attorney pray’d that the afores^d Def^t. to
   his declaration afores^d. may Answer And the afores^d. Def^t. being Called —
   Came and in his proper person appeared to the afores^d Action and Say’th that
   he Cannot Gainsay the Action afores^d. and that he oweth unto the afores^d
   Pltff. the aforesaid Sum of fifteen Shillings and nine pence Currant money
   of Maryland as also the aforesaid Sum of four hundred and eighty four pounds
   of Tobacco and is willing that Judgement Should be entred for the Same and Cost
   thereon Accrueing . Therefore it is Considered by the Court here viz this
   twenty [first?] day of March Anno Domini one thousand Seven hundred Seventeen
