   on which Mr. John March afd comes into Court and Saith that on the Considera:
  :tion afd he will pay the afd John Newell One Thousand pounds of Tobacco—

   Mrs. Ann Anderson of this County brings a negro Girll Called Moll to be
   adjudged on view of the Same It is Considered by the Court here that the Same
   negro Girll is nine Years old ——
   Lordship . | Recognize. taken pr Colo Nathl. Hynson one of his Lordships Justices
          at | for Said County. for appre to this Court And now at this Court in—
   Laugh Flinn | his proper person appears to the Same ordered by the Court here


that the Same Recognize. and his Sureties Recognizance for his appce
   be discharged. . The afd Laughlin Flinns Recognizance taken the Seventeenth
   day of October last in ye Sume of Twenty pounds Sterling for the appearance of.
   the Said Laughlin to this Court~ &ca. And now at this Court no person Shewing any.
   cause why the Same Recognizance ought not to be discharged this Court here
   now discharges the Same
   Likewise at the Same time afd Daniel Flinn and John Yeats both of Said -
   County entered into Recognizances in the Sume of tenn pounds Sterlg each—
   for the appearance of the afd Laughlin to this Court &ca. And now at this Court~.
   no person SHewing any cause why the Same Recognizances each of them—
   ought not to be discharged This Court here discharges the Same Recognizance
   each of them—————
   His Lordship | Maryland Kent County Ss The Jurors for the Honble the Lord
             at | proprietarie & the body of Kent County on their Oath do prsent~
   Margret Murrough | that Margret Murrough of Easter Neck hundred the first day


of August in the Year of our Lord one Thousand Seven hundred
   and Seventeen at Eastern Neck hundred in the County afd did Committ fornication
   with a Certain man to the Jurors unknown to ye high displeasure of Almighty.
   God and the evill Example of others and against the peace of our Said Lord —
   proprietarie his rule and dignity & an Act of Assembly in Such Case made
   & provided                                                         Johnson pr Domnõ proprietarie
      True bill pr John Evans foreman—
   And the afd Margret being called came and in her proper person appeared
   to the afd indictment~ ordered by this Court here that She prove the person—
   that did Committ fornication with her which She denys. But Saith that~
   She cannot gainsay the indictment afd and that She hath been guilty of Committing
   fornication as afd and Submitts her selfe to the Court on the afd Indictment : Therefore
   it is Considered by the Court here vizt. This Twenty Second day of November Anno .
   Domini One Thousand Seven hundred and Seventeen That the afd Margret~.
   Murrough be carryd to the whyping Post and there to receive on her bare
   back Twenty nine lashes well layd on her bare back till the blood appeare
   and pay the Sume of two hundred ninety one pounds of Tobacco Cost accrewing
   on the premises afd to the officers of this Court
   It is Considered by the Court here vizt. the Same day last mentioned that~
   the Sherf of Said County take the afd Margret Murrough into his Custody and to —
   Excute the Strips as in the Judgment afd and then to bring her into Court againe
   After which the Same day last mentioned came the Sherf of Said County with
   the body of the Said Margret Murrough and made return of his precept against~
   the Said Margret Murrough Endorsed as folls vizt. in all things Served and —
   Executed pr S:Wilmer Sherf-
   orderedered by the Court here that the afd Margret Murrough Serve her Master
   Colo Thomas Smyth. Six months at the Expiration of her time for trouble about~
   the afd Margret in time of Travell Loose time charge in delivering her
   of her Child and disgrace of his house
