   that he be kept in Safe Custody by the Sherf. of Said County untill he
   Shall give Special baile as afd
    After which Daniel Flinn and Benjamin Griffiths both of Said
   County here in Court Cometh and they and each of them Acknowledge
   themselves joyntly and Severally Special baile in the above Accon
   and they and either of them do undertake the payment of the
   damages in the Accõn afd and Cost accruing if in case the afd Plt
   Shall obtaine Judgment against the Said Deft in the Said Accõn of
   Trespass upon the Case and the Said Deft the Condemnation Shall
   not Satisfie nor himselfe to the Custody of the Sherf of Said County .
   deliver or that they the Said Daniel Flinn and Benjamin Griffiths
   the body of the Said Cornelius Dee Shall not render &ca ——
     And the Said Deft by John Johnson his attry appears to the afd Accõn
   and prays liberty thereof to imparle thereto and to Answer at next Court
   which is granted the Same day is given the Plt. in like manner

   Knatchbull Adrs. Thomas — | County the twenty Second day of August~
   Scantleburry ——— | in the Second Year of his Lordships Dominion
           at | &ca. That he take Thomas Hattenpenny of
   Thomas Hattenpenny - | Kent County Planter alis Dics Thomas —
   ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~ Hattenpenny of Talbott County if he Should
   be found in his Bailywick and him safe keep so that he have his body —
   before his said Lordships Justices of the next County Court to be held -
   at our Court house in the Town of Chester in Said County. to Answer unto
   Peter Harwood and Norton Knatchbull Administrrs. of all and Singular
   the Goods & Chattells Rights & Credits which were of Thomas Scantleburry
   late of Talbot County Chyrurgeon deceased at the time of his death who
   died intestate as it’s Said of a plea that he render them the full Sume
   of one Thousand pounds of Merchantable Tobacco in Cask of the price
   and value of five pounds Sterling which from them he unjustly detains
   &ca. . And that he have then and there the Said writ &ca. . Att which
   Said next Court vizt. the nineteenth day of November the Same Year
   last mentioned the day of return of Said writ came Simon Wilmer
   Gent high Sherf of Said County and made return thereof in these words —
   thereon Endorsed as folls. vizt. Cepi Corpus p S:Wilmer Sherf.
    And now at the afd Court came the afd Deft~ and the Said Plt. by —
   Thomas Bowne his attry prays that the Said Deft. may give Special baile
