   quantity of fifteen Thousand Eight: hundred and fourteen pounds of
   good Sound Merchantable well qualified bright. Tobo and Cask Clean
   from all Manner of Trash of ye price & value of Eighty pounds —
   Sterling money which he unjustly detains &ca— And that he have.
   then and there the Said writ &ca. . .   Att which Said next Court vizt.
   the nineteenth day of November the afd Year the day of return of
   Said writ came Simon Wilmer Gent. high Sherf of Said County &
   made return thereof in these words thereon Endorsed as folls vizt.
   Cepi Corpus pr S:Wilmer Sherf.   And the afd Plts by Thomas —
   Bowne his attry Saith that the Plts are not inhabitants in-
   this County. Prays that he may be allowed as Security for the Plt to pay
   Cost if the Said Deft Should appear to the afd Accõn and cast the
   Plt. in ye accõn afd. which was granted. on which Thomas Bowne^afd
   comes into Court and Saith that he will pay the Cost in ye Accon-
   afd if the Said Deft if the Plt. Should be cast in the Same and
   pay it not himself
      And the Said Deft being called came and the Said Plt by —
   Thomas Bowne his attry prays that the Said Deft may give
   Special baile to the afd Accõn which is granted and that he be
   kept in Safe Custody by the Sherf of Said County untill he Shall—
   give Special baile as afd
    After which comes into Court Saint Ledger Codd and Elizabeth
   Rasin both of Said County and there and each of them acknow:
  :ledge themselves Special baile in the afd Accon and they and
   either of them do undertake the payment of the debt afd and
   Cost thereon Accruing if the afd Plts Should obtaine Judgment~.
   against the Said Deft~ in the Said Accon of Debt and the Said —
   Deft. the Condemnation Should not Satisfie nor himselfe to the
   Custody of the Sherf of Said County deliver or that they the Said —
   Saint Leger Codd and Elizabeth Rasin or either of them the body
   of the Said Thomas Theakstone Shall not render &ca
   After which the Said Deft in his proper person appeared to the
   above Accon and prayd liberty thereo fto imparle thereto and to
   answer at next Court which is granted the Same day is given ye.
