   her by the Grand Jury for Committing fornication with a certain man-
   unknown &ca. and that he have then and there the Said precept &ca.
   Att which Said next Court vizt. the nineteenth day of June Anno Domi
   one Thousand Seven hundred and Sixteen the day of return of Said —
   precept came the Cunstable of the hundred afd and made return-
   of Said precept in these words endorsed as folls vizt. in all things Served
   and Executed   pr   Wm Deane Cunstable—
   And the afd Margret being called came and in her proper person—
   appeared to the afd Indictm.t~ ordered by the Court here That the afd
   Margret prove the person that begott her with Child but She deneys .
   to do the Same    but Saith that She cannot deny but that She hath
   transgressed the Laws by committing fornication and Submitts to the Court
   on the Same as afd Indicted. Therefore it is Considered by the Court
   here vizt. this twentieth day of June Anno Domini one Thousand
   Seven hundred and Sixteen That the afd Margret Murrough receive on~
   her bare back Twenty one lashes till the blood appeare for Committing
   fornication as afd according to Act of Assembly in Such case made &ca &
   also to pay the Sume of Three hundred and fifteen pounds of Tobacco
   Cost arriseing on the premises &ca.
   It is Considered also by the Court here vizt. the Same day last mentioned
   That William Frisby Sherf of Said County take into his Custody
   the afd Margret Murrough and convey her to the publick whyping Post
   and to receive on her back as in the Judgment afd and then to bring into
   Court againe
   After which Same day last mentioned came the Said Sherf and -
   made return of his precept with the afd Margret and as folls viz in all
   things Served & Executed pr Wm Ffrisby Sherf —
   ordered by the Court here that the afd Margret Murrough Att the
   expiration of her time of Service Serve her Master Six months it being
   for losse of time trouble and charge in lying Inn
   ordered by the Court here that the afd Margret Murrough Master Colll.
   Thomas Smyth have allowed in the Levey two hundred pounds of Tobo.
   it being for keeping the Child that was delivered of the afd Margret~
   ordered by the Court here that the afd Margret Murrough be delivered -
   up to the Court or Sherf at the Expiration of her time .
