   denys the payment thereof wherefore he brings^thisSute &ca.

     And now at this Court Came the afd Plt by Thomas Bowne his
   attry and prays Judgment and also Thomas Ringgold of the afd
   County comes into Court and being Sworn Saith that he Received
   for the afd Deft the above mentioned Tobo for ye use of the afd
   Deft. and also that he heard the Said Deft Say that he was to
   pay the Said Plt. for the afd Sume of Tobo. one Servant to be
   a Ladd or Youth &ca. And the Said Plt a vers that he hath
   received no Satisfaciõn for the Same . Therefore it is Consid:
   :ered by the Court here vizt. this Twenty first day of November
   Anno Domi one Thousand Seven hundred and Seventeen~
   That the afd Plt John Evans have an Attachment agst.
   the goods and Chattells Rights and Credits of the afd Deft~.
   Robert Clay for the afd Sume of Sixteen pounds Sterling —
   Damages on Occation by the Said Deft not preforming his
   promises and assumptions afd as also the Sume of Three-
   hundred Twenty Six pounds of Tobacco Cost by the afd Plt~.
   about his Sute in this behalf Expended and by the Court here
   of his assent adjudged &ca.

County greeting Whereas at a Court held at our
   Court house on Chester River in the Town of Chester in Said County on-
   the Twenty fourth day of March in the Year of our Lord Christ one Thou :
  :sand Seven hundred and fifteen before Mr. James Harris and his -
   associates then Justices of the peace for our Said Lady ye Queen for the
   County afd in Court Judicially Sitting then held for Kent County afd in a Cause
   then and there depending Between Edward Plesto of the Same County Plt.
   and Thomas Pindergrass of Kent County in ye Province of Maryland .
   Planter alis Dics Tho: Pindergrass of Kent County Planter Deft ye Said
   Plt recovered Judgment against the Said Deft~ as well for the Sume .
   of Two Thousand pounds of Tobacco Certain Debt whereof he is -
   Convict as appears upon Record as also the Sume of Three hundred
