the Jurisdiciõn of this Court was & yet is by ye Justices of the Said County in open Court Sitting by Record of Said Court then & there as by the Record of the Said Court here remaining may appear possessed with a Certain Richard Willis an Infant under the Age of one & Twenty Years viz the age of thirteen Years or there abouts Son & orphan to a certain John Willis late of Said County deceased for and untill the Said Richard Willis Should arrive to the age of twenty & one years and for the Said Thomas Jones to teach- the Said Richard Willis the trade of a Carpenter and all other trades that he the Said Thomas Jones could or was able to teach the Said Richard Willis and to keep the Said Richard Willis dureing the Said Term wholly to the Said Trade of a Carpenter or to the Said other trades that the Said Thomas Jones Should then and there or thereafter use or Exercise & not to turn or the Said Richard to Common Labour at the Ax or Hoe in Stead of the Said Trades Yet the Said Thomas Jones altho he hath- been for the term of Seven Years possessed with him the Said orphan the Said Thomas Jones the Said Richard Willis hath not taught or caused to be taught the afd trade of a Carpenter nor kept or caused to be kept the Said Richard Willis to any other trade during the Said Term but for the Term afd at~ Kent County afd & within the Jurisdiciõn afd hath turned & kept the Said Richd Willis to common Labour at the Ax & Hoe instead of learning a trade to the great damage of the Said Richard Willis against the peace of the Lord Proprietarie his rule & dignity & against an Act~ of Assembly of this Province now in force in Such Cases made & provided Johnson pr Dni prpr.
