217 June Court 1717 in Kent County upon Delaware in St. Pauls Parish in Kent County in Maryland afd within the Jurisdiciõn of this Court In Consideration that the afd Plt~ at the Special Instance and request of the afd Deft then and there had Sold & delivered to the Said Deft~ to the proper use and behoofe of the afd — Deft the goods & Merchandises folls vizt. one Sadle for one pound fifteen— Shillings Currant money of America one pair of Leather Breeches for eighteen Shillings Currant money of America one kirb bridle for Six Shillings Currant money of America two Spring knives for two - Shillings & Six pence Currant money of America one Silk handkerchif for eight Shillings like Currant money in the whole Amounting to . three pounds Nine Shillings & Six pence Currant money of America upon himselfe assumed and to the Said Plt. then and there faithfully promised that the Said Deft~ the afd three pounds Nine Shillings & Six pence to the Said Plt~ when thereunto required would well & truly pay & Content And that whereas also the afd Deft afterwards vizt. the nineteenth day of 7.ber afd in the year afd at Dover in Kent County upon Dellaware at S.t Pauls Parish in Kent County in Maryland afd in— the Jurisdiciõn afd in Consideration that the afd Plt~ at the like Special Instance and request of the afd Deft~ had then and there last mentioned Sold & delivered to the Said Deft to the proper use of ye Said Deft~ divers goods & Merchandises in an Accot. hereunto annext Specifically Set forth upon himself Assumed and to the Said Plt then and there last mentioned faithfully promised that he Said Deft So much Currant money of America as the afd last mentioned Goods & Merchandises Sold & delivered as afd were at the time of the Sale & delivery thereof at reasonable rates & prices worth and Amounted to unto the Said Plt when thereunto required — would well & truly pay & Content and the afd Plt in deed Saith that ye afd last mentioned Goods & Merchandises Sold and delivered as Last mentioned at the time of Sale and delivery thereof at reasonable rates & prices were worth and amounted to the Sume of three pounds nine Shillings and eight pence Currant money of America in manner as in the Said Accot. Set forth of which the Said Deft then and there last~ mentioned had Notice Nevertheless the afd Deft his Severall—— Promises & assumptions afd little minding but fraudulently in= :tending the Said Plt in that behalf to deceive and defraud the afd Severall Sums of money the whole Amounting to Six pound Nineteen Shillings Currant money of America to the Said Plt altho’ afterwards vizt. the third day of 9ber & often after in the year afd he the Said Deft was at the parish afd in the County of Kent in Maryland afd in the afd Jurisdiciõn by ye afd Plt thereunto required hath not paid nor made Content for the Same but that to pay or Content ye |
