2 June [Court 1716] forty Six pounds of Tobacco addition[al] [illegible] [thereof fail not] at your [peril] and [have] you then and there this writ witness James Harris Gentleman chiefe [Justice] of our Said Court this twenty fourth day of March in the first year of our – Dominion &c.a Annoque Domini 1715 TBowne pr Quer. JamSmith Clk Att which Said next Court viz this nineteenth day of June Anno Domi one Thousand Seven hundred and Sixteen the day of return of Said writ [pr] me William Frisby Gentleman high Sherf of Said County and made~ return thereof in these words thereon Endorsed as folls viz. Cepi Corpus pr Wm Ffrisby Sherf
County Marriner if he Should be found in your Baylwick & him Safe keep So – that he have his body before his Said Lord Ships Justices of the next County. Court to be held at our Court house in the Town of Chester in Said County to Answer unto William Glanvill of a plea of Trespass upon the Case and- that he have then and there the Said writ &c.a Att which Said next Court viz.t this nineteenth day of June Anno Domini One Thousand Seven hundred and Sixteen the day of Return of Said writ Came William Frisby Gentleman high Sherf of Said County and made Return thereof in these words thereon endorsed as folls viz.t Cepi Corpus pr Wm Ffrisby Sherf ~~~~~ And now at this Court the Said Plt by Thomas Bowne his attry prays that the afd Deft may put in Special bayle to the above accõn which was [granted] Upon which Came Edward Worrell and William Reeding both of this [Co]unty into Court and they and either of them acknowledged themselves joyntly and Severally Special bayle to the above accõn and they and either of them do undertake the payment of the damages on the above writ and Cost thereon accrueing if in case the afd William Glanvill Shall obtaine Judgment against the afd John Hodges in the Said accõn of Trespass upon the Case and the Said John~ Hodges the Condemnation afd Shall not Satisfie nor himselfe to the Custody of~ the Sherf of Said County deliver or that they the afd Edward Worrell and Willm Reeding or either of them the body of the Said John Hodges Shall not render [&c.a?] after which the afd Deft by John Johnson his attry appear [to] the above accõn and prays liberty thereof to imparle thereto and to Answer at next Court which was granted the Same day was given the Plt also
