   ye Said William when thereunto required would well and truly pay & Content Yet~.
   the afd Frances her Promises and assumptions afd in forme afd made little
   regarding but fraudulently Intending the Said William in that behalfe
   to deceive the afd two hhds of Tobacco to the Said William altho’ afterwards
   viz the tenth day of 9.ber Anno Domini Seventeen hundred & Sixteen
   & often after She was at the Parish afd in the County afd in the Jurisdiciõn
   afd thereto required hath not paid repaid or made any Content for ye Same
   but that the Said Two hogsheads of Tobacco to pay or Content the Said
   Frances hitherto hath denied and yet denys to the Damage of the Said
   William the value of five pounds Sterling money and thereupon he brings
   Sute &ca.    TBowne pr Querr plegs &ca. John Doe and Richard Roe
   And the afd Deft by John Roberts her attorney appeared to the above
   Accõn and pleaded as folls vizt   Plea And the Said Frances Crawford by
   John Roberts her attorney comes and defends the force and Injury when~
   &ca. and for plea Saith She did assume upon herself in Such manner and
   forme as the Plt in his Decln above against her hath Supposed and of this
   She for tryall puts herself upon the Country   Roberts for Deft.
      And the Plt in like manner TBowne pr Querr ———
   After which Came into Court the afd Deft by her afd Attry
   and Saith that She Cannot gainsay the accõn afd of the Said -
   Plt. nor but that She is indebted the hhds Tobo in the above —
   Decln mentioned Containing five hundred pounds of Tobacco and is
   willing that Judgment Shall be entred for the Same and Cost thereon
   accruing :   Therefore it is Considered by the Court here viz This
   twenty third day of March Anno Domini Seventeen hundred &
   Sixteen That the afd Plt William Ringgold do Recover against the
   Said Deft~ Frances Crawford as well the afd Sume of five hundred -
   pounds of Tobacco Damages as also the Sume of four hundred —
   twenty one pounds of Tobacco Cost by the afd Plt about his Suite in
   this behalfe Expended and by the Court here of his assent adjudged
   and the Said Deft~ in mercy &ca-

   Hans Hanson— | Commanded it was to the Sherf of Kent County the
           at | twenty Sixth day of November in the Second year of
   Joseph Milby - | his Lord Ships Dominion &ca. That he take Joseph
   —————— | Milby of Kent County Planter alis Dics Joseph Milby of
   Kent County Plantr. if he Should be found in his Bailywick and him Safe
   keep So that he have his body before his Said Lord Ships Justices of the
   next Court to be held at our Court house in the Town of Chester in
   Said County to Answer unto Hans Hanson of a plea that he render to
