   193                                       March Court 1716
   William Ringgold | Commanded it was to the Sherf of Kent County the
           at | twenty Sixth day of November in the Second year
   Francis Crawford - | of his Lord Ships Dominion &ca. That he take Frances
   ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ | Crawford of Kent County Widow if She Should be found in
   his Bailywick and her Safe keep So that he have her body before his Said .
   Lord Ships Justices of the next Court to be held at our Court house in the Town of
   Chester in Said County to Answer unto William Ringgold of a plea of Trespass
   upon ye Case and that he have then and there the Said writ &ca.    Att which
   Said next Court vizt. the nineteenth day of March the Same yeare last—
   mentioned the day of return of Said writ Came William Frisby Gentn high—
   Sherf of Said County and made return thereof in these words thereone Endorsed
   as folls vizt Cepi Corpus p Wm Ffrisby Shr. But a Decln being fild when Said
   writ Issued forth and a Copy thereof Served therewith according to Act of ——
   assembly in Such case made was as folls vizt Kent County Ss Ffrances Crawford
   of Kent County Widow Stands attaiched to Answer unto William Ringgold
   of a plea of Trespass upon the Case And Whereupon the afd William by Thomas
   Bowne his attrney Complains for that whereas ye afd Frances the tenth day of
   Aprill Anno Domini Seventeen hundred and fifteen at S.t Pauls Parish in
   Kent County afd within the Jurisdiciõn of this Court In Consideration that he
   the Said William at the Special Instance & request of the Said Frances —
   would pay to a Certain Nathaniel Hynson of the Said County Mercht. one
   hhd of Merchantable Tobacco for the proper use of her the Said Frances
   when the Said Nathaniel Should require the Same to be paid did assume
   upon herselfe and to the Said William then there faithfully promised —
   that She the Said Frances the afd hhd of Tobacco to the Said William when
   thereunto required would well & truly pay repay & Content and the afd William
   Says that he upon ye hope of the faithfull performance of ye Promise &
   assumption afd of the afd Frances afterwards vizt the thirtieth day of June
   Anno Domini Seventeen hundred and fifteen at the Parish County and
   Jurisdiciõn afd and when the afd Nathaniel did require the Same to be
   paid did pay to the afd Nathaniel one hhd of Merchantable Tobacco ——
   Containing five hundred pounds of Tobacco for the proper use of the Said —
   Frances and of which the afd Frances the day and year last mentioned at ye
   parish County and Jurisdiciõn afd had notice and that whereas also the afd —
   Frances afterwards viz the thirtieth day of June Anno Domini Seventeen
   hundred & fifteen afd at the Parish in the County afd within the afd ——
   Jurisdiciõn In Consideration that the afd William at the like Special Instance
   & request of the Said Francis had then and there last Said paid to a Certain
   Nathaniel Hynson for the use and behoofe of the Said Frances one hhds
   of Tobacco Containing five hundred pounds weight of Merchatnable Tobacco
   in an Account hereto annexed Set forth upon herselfe Assumed and to the
   Said William then and there last mentioned faithfully promised that
   She the Said Frances the afd last mentioned hogshead of Tobacco to
