   Daniel Ferril - | Commanded it was to the Sherrife of Kent~
      — at —— | County the twenty Sixth day of November in the
   William Woodland - | Second Year of his Lord Ships Dominion &ca That
   he take William Woodland of Kent County Carpenter if he Should be
   found in his Bailywick & him Safe keep So that he have his body before
   his Said Lord Ships Justices of the next Court to be held at our Court house in—
   the Town of Chester in Said County to Answer unto Daniel Ferrel of
   a plea of Trespass upon ye Case and that he have then and there the Said
   writ &ca.    Att which Said next Court vizt. the nineteenth day of —
   March the Same year last mentioned the day of return of Said writ
   Came William Frisby Gent. high Sherf of Said County and made —
   return thereof in these words thereon endorsed as folls vizt. Cepi Corpus
   pr. Wm Ffrisby Shr.    But A Declaration being fild when Said
   writ Issued forth and a Copy thereof Served therewith according to Act
   of Assembly in Such cases made was as folls vizt. Kent County Ss William
   Woodland of Kent County Carpenter Stands attaiched to Answer unto Daniel
   Ferrel of a plea of Trespass upon ye Case And Whereupon the afd Daniel
   by Thomas Bowne his attry Complains for that whereas he the Said .
   Daniel ye fourth day of March Anno Domini Seventeen hundred &
   fourteen at St. Pauls Parish in Kent County afd within ye Jurisdiciõn of .
   this Court was possessed with and had the Care Education & Tuition of a
   certain James Duerty an Infant Godson of him ye Said Daniel and thereby
   had expended divers Sums of Tobacco the afd William ye afd fourth day
   of March in ye year afd in ye County afd within ye Jurisdiciõn afd In Considera
  :tion the afd Daniel at the Instance and request of the Said William had
   then & there discharged and forever acquitted the Said Infant of the afd
   Expences and Consented (with the Said William ) that the Said Infant Shold
   then and there become an apprentis in the Custody of the Said William
   for ye. time & Terme of Eleaven years then next following Upon himselfe
   assumed & to the Said Daniel then and there faithfully promised that he
   the Said William the Sume of Seven hundred pounds of Merchantable
   Tobacco to the Said Daniel when thereunto afterwards required would.
   well & truly pay and Content and that whereas also the afd William~
   afterwards vizt. the afd fourth day of March in the year afd at S.t Pauls
