June Court 1716 19 Ann Glenn afd her Recognizance taken before Mr. Nathaniel Hynson one of his Lord Ships Justices for the afd County in the Sume of tenn pounds Sterlg. to be Leveyed on her goods and Chattells Lands & Tenements Conditionally if She did not make her personally appearance at this Court to Answr: unto a certain bill of Indictment found against her for Committing fornication wth. a certain man unknown &ca. and to be of good behaviour & keep the peace &ca. the Same Recognizance bears date the nineth June instant and now at this Court noe person Shewing an cause why the Same Should not be Discharged This Court here discharges The Same &ca. Likewise Thomas Cooke & William Deane both of this County at the Same time last mentioned Entred into Recognizance in the Sume of five pounds Sterlg Each to be Leveyed &ca. for the appeare of the afd Ann Glenn to Answ.r as afd & that in the mean time She - was to be of good behaviour & to keep the peace &ca. This Court here discharges the Same Recognizances each of them &ca Maryland Kent County Ss The Jurors for the Lord Proprietari on their oath do present that Ann Glenn late of Eastern neck hundred Spinster the first day of January in the Year of our Lord one Thousand Seven hundred and fifteen at the parish of S.t Pauls in the County afd and wthin the Jurisdiciõn of this Court and at divers other days & times as well before as after did committ fornication with a certain man to the Jurors unknown to the high displeasure of Almighty God & ye evill Example of others agst. the peace &ca. and against the forme of an Act of Assembly of this province Johnson pr Dne Propriet.r on the back of the proceeding bill of Indictmt was Endorsed as folls vizt Billa vera pr Sumon Wilmer foreman on which Command was given to the Cunstable of Eastern neck hundred in this County the twenty fourth day of March in the first Year of his Lord Ships Dominion &ca That he take Anne Glenn late of Eastern neck hundred in the County afd Spinster if She Should be found in your hundred and her safe keep So that he carry her before the next Justice of his Said - Lord Ship for said County and before the Same Justice to enter in to Recoge. with Such Sureties as the Same Justice Shall think fitt for her personall appearance before the Justices of our next County Court to be held at our Court~ house in the Town of Chester in Said County to Answer unto a certain bill of Indictment found against her by the Grand Jury for Committing fornication with a certain man unknown &ca. and that he have then~ and there the Said precept &ca. Att which Said next Court viz.t this nineteenth day of June Anno Domi one Thousand Seven hundred & Sixteen the day of return of Said precept came William Dean Cunst[ble] of Eastern neck hundred and made return thereof as folls viz In all things . |
