June Court 1716 17 proper person appears to the Same And the Said James Saith that he cannot gainsay but that he did committ fornication with the afd Jane Gibbin and belived he might gitt the Child as afd Charged and Submitts to the Court on the Same Therefore it is Considered by the Court her vizt this nineteenth day of June Anno Domini one Thousand Seven hundred and Sixteen That the afd James Doarn pay the Sume of Thirty Shillings Currant money Debt according to Act of Assembly in Such cases made &ca. for Committing the offence of fornication afd and also pay the Sume of~ one hundred and twenty pounds of Tobacco Cost arriseing on the Same~ ordered by the Court here that the fine afd be delivered to the Sherf for ye use of the County- ordered by the Court here that the afd James Doarn pay the Sume of five hundred pounds of Tobacco to the Master of the afd Jane Gibbin for trouble disgrace and loss time in the time She was lying Inn ordered by the Court here that the Said James Doarn give Suretie to keep the County harmless from the afd Child and all charges accrueing on the Same James Doarn afd acknowledges himselfe indebted to his Lord Ship his heires and Successors in the Sume of five Thousand pounds of Tobacco to be Leveyed on his goods and Chattells Lands and Tenements Conditionally that if he do not keepe the County from all charges that hath or may accrue on Account of the Child afd delivered of the afd Jane Gibbin - wherewith he Saith he is Content~ John Bryant of this County comes into Court and acknowledges himselfe indebted to his Lord Ship his heires and Successors in the Sume of five Thousand pounds of Tobacco to be Leveyed on his goods and Chattells Lands & Tenements Conditionally that if the afd James Doarn Shall not kkep the County from all Charges that hath or may accrue on account of the Child afd delivered of the afd Jane Gibbin- wherewith the Said John Bryant Saith he is Content Jams Smith Clk
