   149                                March Court 1716
   of the Sherf of Said County deliver or that the Said John Williams
   the body of the Said Deft Shall not render &ca —
    After which the Said Deft in his proper person appeared to
   the afd Accõn and Saith that he Cannot gainsay the Accon afd
   of him the Said Plt nor but that he is Indebted to the Said —
   Plt the afd Sume of two pounds twelve Shillings Currant money
   of America and is willing that Judgment Should be entred for
   the Same and Cost accruing:   Therefore it is Considered by
   the Court here Vizt. this Twenty Second day of March Anno —
   Domini one Thousand Seven hundred and Sixteen That the
   afd Plt Thomas Cristian Recover against the afd Deft Thomas
   Young as well the afd Sume of Two pounds twelve Shillings
   Currant money of America Debt as also the Sume of Two
   hundred and fifty Seven pounds of Tobo Cost by the afd Plt about
   his Suite in this behalf laid out and Expended and by the Court
   here of his assent adjudged And the Said Deft in mercy &ca

   Owin Magrauh | Commanded it was to the Sherf of—
           at | Kent County the Sixteenth day of August
   James Meeks — | in the Second Year of the Reigne of our

Sovereign Lord King George &ca That he
   take James Meeks of Kent County Planter if he Should be found
   in his Bailywick and him Safe keep So that he have his body before
   his Said Majesties Justices of the next Court to be held at our Cort
   house in the Town of Chester in Said County to Answer unto Owen
   Macgrauh of a plea of Trespass on the Case And that he have then
   and there the Said writ &ca. Att which Said next Court vizt. the fifteenth
   day of November the Same year last mentioned the day of—
   return of Said writ Came William Frisby Gentn high Sherf of Said
   County and made return thereof in these words thereon endorsed
   as folls vizt. Cepi Corpus pr Wm Ffrisby Sherf.   .   .   Att which Said
   Court the Said Deft~. by John Johnson his attorney appeared to-
   the Said Accõn and prayd liberty thereof to imparle thereto and to
   Answer at next Court which was granted the Same day was given
