                                      March Court 1716                               142 
   body of the Said David Shall not render &ca.   After which the Said.
   Deft in his proper person appeared to the above accõn   And Saith
   that he cannot gainsay the accõn afd of him the Said Plt nor but~
   that he is Indebted on balle the Sume of four hundred forty four
   pounds of Tobacco and is willing that Judgment Should be enterd
   for the Same and Cost thereon accruing == Therefore it is
   Considered by the Court here viz.t this Twenty Second day
   of March Anno Domini One Thousand Seven hundred
   and Sixteen That the afd Plt James Harris Recover against
   the Said Deft~ David Hull as well the afd Sume of Ffour—
   hundred forty four pounds of Tobacco Damages as also the
   Sume of Three hundred and Eighty five pounds of Tobacco Cost~
   by the Said Plt about his Suite in this behalfe laid out—
   and expended and by the Court here of his assent adjudged
   and the Said Deft~ in mercy &ca

   John Kaisly — | Second Year of his Lordships Dominion &ca That


he take John Kaisly of Kent County in the Province
   of Maryland alis Dics John Caslif of Kent County Planter in ye Province
   abovesd if he Should be found in his Bailiwick and him Safe—
   keep So that he have his body before his Said Lord Ships Justices of
   the next Court to be held at our Court house in the Town of Chester in
   Said County to answer unto Richard Davis of a plea that he render
   unto him the full and Just Sum of Twelve hundred and fifty pounds
   of good Sound Marchantable leafe Tobacko & Cask of ye value of five
   pounds four Shillings and two pence Sterling money which he-
   unjustly detains &ca. and that he have then and there the Said writ
   &ca. Att which Said next Court vizt. the nineteenth day of March
   the Same year last mentioned the day of return of Said writ
   Came William Frisby Gent high Sherf of Said County and made
   return thereof in these words thereon Endorsed as folls Cepi—
