                                    March Court 1714/15                                          91  
   Merchants had Accrued to ye Said Plt. and which ye Said Plts by cause.
   & reason of ye Said Protest had Sustained & Suffered the Said James in his
   life time unto ye Said Plts did not pay or content nor hath ye Said Deft
   at any time Sincts ye death of ye Said James paid ye Same althõ to pay y.e
   Same after ye death of ye Said James and ye Said Deft~ taking upon her
   ye burden of ye Administership [?] afd vizt. on ye afd third day of May —
   Anno Domini Seventeen hundred & fourteen at ye Parish of S.t Paul in
   Kent County & Juridiciõn afd ye Said Deft by ye Sd Plts hath been required
   but the Same to pay ye Sd James in his life time and ye Said Deft Since
   his death have denied and ye Sd Deft Yet doeth deny to the Damage —
   of the Said Plts. twenty pounds Sterling money & thereupon they bring
   Sute &ca.                 TBowne pr Quer &ca. Jno Doe and Rd Roe .
    And the afd Plts by there afd Attry Prays that the Deft afd to
   his Decln afd may Answer . And there being no Plea by the afd -
   Deft filed in the afd Accõn And now this Court doth give rule to the -
   afd Deft to Plead and that the afd Deft file a plea to the afd Accon~
   in four hours.    .    .    After which Came againe the afd Plts by there
   afd Attrys and Prays Judgm.t~ on the Decln afd. The afd Deft haveing
   not Put in any plea nor hath made no reply to the Same By w.ch
   the afd Plts . may Still remaine against the afd Deft without defence
   Therefore it is Considered by the Court here vizt. this Nineth day of
   Aprill Annoq Domini one Thousand Seven hundred and fifteen-
   That the afd Plt~. have a writ awarded to the Sherf of Said County
   that by the Oaths of Twelve &ca. to enquire of the damages afd Sustaind
    by the Said James his not performing his promise & assumption afd
    in his life time &ca. . And what Shall be done herein that the Shrf
    make return thereof to our Justices at the then next Court &ca.
