March Court 1714/15 81 County Ship Carpenter if he Should be found in his Baylwick and him Safe keepe So that he have his body before her Said Majesties Justices of the - next Court to be held at the Court house in the Town of Chester in Said County to Answer unto Gregory Brucks of the afd County Planter of a plea of Trespass upon the Case And that he have then and there Said writ &ca. Att which Said next Court viz.t the Second day of November in the first year of his now Majesties Reigne &ca. the day of return of Said writ came William Frisby Gent.- high Sherf of Said County and made returne thereof in these words thereon endorsed as foll. viz.t Cepi Corpus pr Wm Frisby Sherf. Att which Said Court the Said Deft being called Came and appear’d to the afd Accõn and the Plt proved In Court that if he was not Secured in his Accon afd that he Should be in danger of looseing his Debt on which he took his Corporall oath on the holy Evangilists of Almighty God that the afd Deft was in his debt above Seven: :teen Shill.s on which the Sd Plt by Thomas Bowne his attry prays that the Sd Deft might give Special bayle to ye above accõn w.ch was granted and that he was to be kept in Custody by the Sherf of Said County untill he Should give Special Bayle But now at this Court Came the Said Plt by his afd Attry and ye Sd Deft in Custody &ca. on which the Plt Said that he would not detaine ye afd Deft in Custody on his Accõn any Longer The Said . Deft is released out of Custody on Account of ye afd Accõn now in his Proper Person appears to the afd Accon and the Said Plt by his afd Attry declare as foll vizt Kent County Ss George Hill late . of the afd County Ship Carpenter Stands Attached to Answer unto Gregory Brucks of the afd County Planter of a plea of Trespass upon the Case and |
