June Court 1714 Said County upon there Oath did find and make presentment of the Said Dominick Kenslagh for that he the Said Dominikc did make an Assault upon a Certain James Harris being Sherrife of ye afd County which Said presentment was by Thomas Bowne Clarke of the Indictments framed into a Bill of Indictment as folls vizt. Maryland Kent County Ss The Juriors for our Sovereigne Lady ye Queen that now is and the Body of Kent County afd upon their Oath do present that Dominick Kenslagh of Saint Pauls Parish in Kent County Planter als Dics Dominick Kenslagh of ye Parish of St. Paul in Kent County Planter the Seventh day of Novembr. in ye Year of the Reigne of our Sovereign Lady Anne by ye grace of God of Great Brittain France & Ireland Queen Defender of ye faith &ca. the twelfth with force & Armes &ca. by ye Instigation of ye Devil and of his mere malice at the Parish of St. Paul in Kent County afd within the Jurisdiccõn of this Court in and upon a Certain James Harris the Same James Harris at that time being Sherrife of ye afd County in ye peace of God & the Said Lady ye Queen And in the Execution of his afd Office then and there being an Assault did make & the Same James then and there did Evil intent & other Enormites to him ye Said James did & perpretrated against ye peace of our Said Lady ye Queen her Crown & Dignity &ca. TBowne pr Dom Rega on the Back of the preceeding Bill of Indictment was Endorsed as folls vizt. Billa vera Lambert Wilmer Fforeman Evidences Mr. Arthur Miller Mr William Frisby Michael Hackett and now at this Court (to witt) this third day of June Annoque Domini one Thousand Seven hundred & fourteen The Said Dominick being Called Came and in his proper appeared to ye above Indictment and Produces to - this Court A Certiorari (Returnable to ye Provinshall Court the Second Tuesday in July next Dated ye 24th. day of Aprill Last ) being read this Court orders that ye Sd Dominick Enter into Recognizance with Surtys for his appearance to ye next~ Provinshall Court to be held for Said Province & then & there to prosecute . ye Same &ca. after which ye Said Dominick Kenslagh Comes into Court and . Acknowledged himselfe Indebted unto our Sovereigne Lady the Queen in ye Sume of Twenty pounds Sterlg to be Leveyed on his goods and Chattells Lands & Tenements. |
