March Court 1714/15 66 belives about four years last March past She helpt the afd Mary Parkes deliver the afd Mary Freebourn of a Male Child &ca John Maguer being an Evidence in the afd Cause and being Sworn on the Holy . Evangilists of Almighty God Saith that M.r Thomas Tolley of Said County told him that if he wife was Sumõned as an Evide against the Same Mary Freebourn that if he would not lett her Come to Court the first Court that if She was fined he would Pay her fine &ca And now the Jury afd haveing heard the Evidences Allegations and Pleadings on both Sides the Court gives them there Charge who with draw to Consider on the Premises afd and after Some time do againe Return to the Barr and being Called over do all appeare and the Prosecutor and Party being Called do Likewise appeare And the Jury being Asked whether they are agreed on A Verdict do Say they are Agreed on A Verdict and being Demanded whether they find the Said Mary Freebourn guilty or not guilty as She Stands Indicted do Say She is not guilty as She Stands Indicted and by John Moll there foreman also Say And the afd Mary Freebourn by Thomas Bowne her Attry. Prays Judgment on the Verict afd. Therefore it is Considered by the Court here viz.t this Seventh day of Aprill Anno Domi one thousand Seven hundred and fifteen That the Said Mary Freebourn as to the afd Indictment go thereof without day and that She be therefrom acquitted. but that She pay to the officers of this Court the Sume of thirteen hundred Seventy Six - pounds of Tobacco Cost Accrueing on the Premises ag.st the Sd Mary Freebourn Mary Parker Comes into Court and takes her Oath on the Holy Evangilists of Almighty God and Saith that She hath Attended this Court as an Evidence on his Majesties Behalfe against Mary Freebourn Nine days and prays an allowance for the Same ordered by this Court here that Mary Freebourn pay unto the Said Mary Parks the Sume of Two hundred and Seventy pounds of Tobacco for her Attendance as afd . John Maguer Comes into Court and takes his Corprall Oath on the holy . Evangilists of Almighty God and Saith that he hath Attended as an Evid.e on his Majesties Behalfe against Mary Freebourn Eight days and pray an- allowe. |
