                                              March Court 1714/15
   naught &ca. T Bowne pr Deft~
      And the afd John Johnson in behalfe of the King Saith that ye afd Plea of
   the Said Deft in manner and form above pleaded & y.e matter in y.e Same Contained is
   not Sufficient in Law for the Said Prosecution for the Said King to maintain the Said .
   Bill or Indictment against the Said Deft nor hath no Necessity nor by the Laws of.
   the Land is obliged to make an Answer and this he is ready to verefie Wherefore for .
   want of a Sufficient Plea of the Deft in this behalfe the prosecutor for the King —
   prays Judgment &c.a    Johnson pr Doms Rege ——
    Demurer Joynd    T Bowne pr Deft~
   Which Plea And Demurrer being read and Argued and mature deliberation -
   being by the Court thereupon taken the Demurer afd is adjudged good Therefore
   it is Considered by the Court here viz this Seventh day of Aprill Anno Domi .
   one Thousand Seven hundred and fifteen That the afd Plea of the afd Mary
   Freebourn be held not good and Sufficient in Law to quash the afd Indictm.t but
   that the Same be taken for naght . And ^orderedthat the Sd Mary Freebourn plead over
   And the Said Mary by Thomas Bowne her Attry Comes and Defends the force and
   Injury when &ca. and Saith that the Said Mary is not Guilty of the premises afd and .
   for Tryal puts herselfe on the Country   T Bowne pr Deft~ —
    And he who follows for our Sovereigne Lod the King Says that She is Guilty .
   of the premises afd.                      Jno Johnson pr Doms Rege ————
   Thereupon Command was given to the Sherf of Kent County that he immediately
   Cause to Come here Twelve &ca——By whom &ca Who neither &ca To Recognize &ca. Because
   as well &ca. and the Sd Sherf Saith that he hath here ready twelve as by his —
   precept it was Commanded Who being Called Likewise Came John Moll Arthur Miller
   Samuel Thomas Thomas Jones Richard West George Read Daniel Cooley Sutton Burgan
   John Taylor John Underhill Ralph Distance John Greenwood. who being Duely Elected .
   tryd and Sworn . And a Certain Mary Parkes being an Evidence in the above Cause -
   Comes into Court And She being Sworn on the Holy Evangilists. of Almighty God and Saith
   that about four year past March last She delivered the Same Mary Freebourn of a Male .
   Child —— and a Certain Joan Maguer being and Evidence in the above Cause Comes
   into Court and being Sworn on the Holy Evangilists of Almighty God Saith that She
