                                                March Court 1714/15                                                 62
   within ye Jurisdiccõn of this Court did Committ fornication with a Certain man Unknown
   and did thereby Suffer her Selfe to be begat with a base Child ag.t the peace of
   our Sd Lady the Queen and against a Certain Act of assembly of this Province now
   in force in that case made and provided &ca.    Bowne pr Doms Rega —
   on the back of the preceeding Bill was Endorsed as foll viz.t Billa vera pr
   me Wm. Bateman foreman— the afd Thomas Bowne not being Clarke
   of the Indictments at this Court It is ordered by the Court here that John
   Johnson the now Clarke of the Indictm.ts Prosecute the afd Indictmt. the Sd .
   Elizabeth Prays that M.r Thomas Bowne may now appeare for^herin the
   premises afd as her Attry ordered by this Court here that the Said Thoms
   Bowne appr. as Prayd after which the Sd Elizabeth Meeks by Thomas .
   Bowne her Attry Comes and defends the force and injury when &ca. And for
   Plea Saith that She is not Guilty of the premises afd And for tryall puts
   herselfe on the Country    T Bowne pr Deft~.
           and he who now Prosecutes for our Our Sovereigne Lord the King
   Says the Sd Elizabeth is Guilty of the premises afd.
                                                                               Jno Johnson pr Doms Regus.—
   Thereupon Command was given to the Sherf of Said County that he —
   immediately Cause to Come here twelve &ca. By whom &ca. who neither &ca —
   to Recognize &ca. Because as well &ca. And the Sherf Comes and Saith that
   he hath here ready twelve &ca. as by the Same he was Commanded who being
   Called Likewise Came John Moll Arthur Miller Samuel Thomas Thomas Jones -
   Richard West George Read Daniel Cooley Sutton Burgin John Evans John——
   Taylor John William John Hadockill [?] who being duely Elected tryed and —
   Sworn and haveing heard the whole pleadings Allegations and Evidences on both
   Sides the Court giveth them a Charge who withdraw to Consider on the premises
   afd and after Some time do return to the barr and being Called over do all
   appear as also the Prosecutor and Party do likewise appeare and the .
   Jury being Asked wheth.r they are all Agreed on A verdict or not do Say
   they are all agreed on a verdict and being Asked whether they find the Said
