   The Jurors for our Soveraigne Lord the King that now is upon there Oath do present
   that Elizabeth Toney of Langfords Upper hundred in the County afd Spinster on the .
   Twentieth Day of September in the first year of our Sovereigne Lord George by the .
   Grace of God of Great Brittaine &ca. King &ca. at Langfords Upper hundred afd in—
   the County afd the fear of God not haveing did Committ fornication with a Certain Man to .
   the Jurors unknown & thereby did Suffer him to begett upon her body a base Child to the.
   High Displeasure of Almighty God against the peace of our Said Lord the King that now is
   his Crown & Dignity & the forme of an Act of Assembly of this Province now in force in that
   case made & provided    Johnson pr Doms Rege ——   on the Back of the preceeding
   Indictment was Endorsed as foll. Billa Vera Saml Wallis foreman—   Arthur .
   Foreman Cunstable — and the Said Elizabeth being Called Came and in her proper
   person appeared to the above Indictment The Same being Read to her and this Court here .
   orders that She prove the begetter of the afd Child that was begott on her body as layd in
   the afd Indictment But Deneys and Saith that She will not But Saith that She is guilty
   of the prmises afd Layd against her and Submits herselfe to the Court and prays that
   they will be favourable to her :   Therefore it is Considered by the Court here vizt.
   this fifth day of November Annoque Domini one Thousand Seven hundred and fourteen
   That the afd Elizabeth Toney to have on her bare back Thirty nine Lashes well layd on
   her bare back tell the blood appeare for her offence of Committing fornication as afd and
   also pay the Sume of Two hundred Eighty and Seven pounds of Tobacco Cost accrueing to
   the officers of this Court on the Premises afd
