November Court 1714 47 William Frisby Gent high Sherf of Said County take the Said Elizabeth Toney into his Custody & Carry her to the Publique Whyping Post & to Give her on her bare back thirty - nine Lashes on her bare back till the blood appr. and when the Same Executed to - bring her into Court againe &ca. att which Said next Court viz the Same day last mentioned Came the Said Sherf. and made returne of his precept with the body of the Said Elizabeth and the Said precept was Endorsed as foll vizt. In all things Served and Executed pr. Wm Frisby Sherf. Jams Smith Clk It is ordered by this Court here That the Clarke of this Court make out~ Warrants to the Cunstables of the Hundreds where those persons lives that there is Indictments against and als to Issue out Sumones for the Severall Evidences put on the two Bills against Mary Freebourn and Katharine Kelley to be Returnable to the next Court Charles Hynson as an Evidence to a power of Attorney from Madam Elizabth Harris to her husband Cap.t James Harris to Convey Land in Cæcil County to Isaac Vanbebber of Cæcil County . and the Said Charles Hynson takes his Corporall Oath on the Holy Evangilist of Almighty God and Saith that he did See the afd Madm Harris Signe Seale and Deliver the Same Power of Attry to and for the uses therein Contained and he likewise Saith that he did See William Woodland as an Evide. to ye Same Power of Attry Signe at the Same time . (The Same power of Attry . bares date ye thirtyeth day of October Last) John Wilson of this County Comes into Court and Saith that he being formerly a Servant to Cap.t Edward Pleasto of this County and that the Said Edward Hath Sett him free and he is not Capable of getting his lively hood on which he Shewes to this Court his Condition of a very great Sore on his left Arm which he Says he gott in the Said Pleasto’s Service . . on Which this Court thinks fitt & orders that the Clarke of this Court make out an ord.r to the Said Pleasto That he the Said Pleasto to take Care of the Said John Wilson to next Court and then the Said Pleasto appear at Court to make ye Court Sinceable of the truth in ye prmises as the Court may then do as to Justice appertains to both parties . the Same ordr. made out and Delivered to the Said John Wilson Immediately &ca Benjn |
