November Court 1714 Kent County greeting Wee Command you that you Attach any the Goods Chattells Rights or - Creditts of John Budd of the afd County Planter alis Dics John Butt Planter of Kent County if they Shall be found in your Baylwick to ye Value of Seventeen hundred and Twenty four pounds of Tobacco & when y.o have the Same So Attached or any part thereof the Same in your Custody keepe So that you have the Same before the Justices of our next~ County Court to be held at our Court house in the Town of Chester in Said County on the first Tuesday in November next Then and there to be Condemned According to Act of~ Assembly to and for ye use of a Certain Thomas Christian unless he the Said John Budd by himselfe or his attorney Shall appear and Answer unto ye afd Thomas Christian~ in a plea that he render unto him the full and Just Sume of one Thousand two hundred pounds of good Sound Merchantable leafe Tobacco which from him he unjustly detains &ca According to Law & that by good and Lawfull men of your Baylwick you make known unto ye Person or Persons in whose hands you make ye Same that he She or they be and app.r before the Justices of our Said Court to be held as afd to Shew cause if any he She or they have why the Same Goods Chattells Rights or Creditts So Attached in his her or there hands ought~ not to be Condemned According to Law if to him her or them it Shall Seem meet &. how you Shall Execute this writ that you make known unto our Said Justices at the day & place afd And have you then & there this writt witness William Pearce Gent~ chiefe Justice of our Sd Court this 3d day of August in the 13.th yeare of [our] Reigne &ca. Bowne pr qr— Jams Smith Clk Att Which Said next Court viz the Second day of November In ye Year afd the day of ye return of the afd writt of Attachment Came William Frisby Gent high Sherf of Said County and made returne thereof Endorsed as foll vizt —— By Vertue of ye within writ to me Directed to ye Justices within mentioned I Certifie - that I have attacht of the goods and Chattells of ye within named John Budd to ye value of Twelve hundred fourty and four pounds of Tobacco to Satisfie unto ye within Named Thomas Christian Part ye within mentioned Debt and Cost that is to Say a parcell of Tobacco hanging in ye Possession of a Certain James Boyer Computed to be the — Quantity of Six hundred as also an old Gunn value one hundred and fifty pounds of~ Tobacco in the hands of Robert Jones also one Iron pott value one hundred and fourty . pounds of Tobacco also one adds one Drawing knife one hand Saw value fifty five - pounds of Tobacco also one hare Sifter value twelve pounds of Tobacco also a parcel of old feathers value Ninety pounds of Tobo also one Blankett value fourty pound of Tobacco also tenn pueter Spoones value Twenty four pounds of Tobacco also three Small~ |
