   for not helping to Clear ye main Road as being warned &ca. which presentmt.
   was by Thomas Bowne Clark of the Indictm.ts framed into a Bill of Indictm.t
   as folls viz.t Kent County in Maryland Ss The Juriors of our Sovereigne Lady.
   ye Queen that now is and the Body of Kent County afd upon there Oath Do.
   Present that William Howard of Worton hundred in Kent County afd Labourer
   on ye twelfth day of 8.ber Annoque Domini Seventeen hundred & thirteen~.
   at Worton hundred in Kent County afd within ye Jurisdiccõn of this Court and —
   within a certain District where Marmaduke Tilden then was for ye Amending
   & repairing ye Publick & main Roads being by Said overseer duly Summoned
   to help mend & Repair with other persons ye afd Publick & main Roads —
   leading from & throw a Certain neck within ye District afd Between Worton
   & farlo Creeks to Chester Town & S.t Pauls Church in the Said District &.
   Hundred ye Said Roads then & there being out of Repair & decaid ye Said
   William Howard did then & there obstinately Contemptuously & Malitiously.
   refuse to Serve and obey ye Said oversear and to work in ye Mending &
   repairing ye afd Roads against ye peace of our Said Lady ye Queen &ca. and —
   against ye forme of an Act of Assembly of this Province now in force in
   Such Case made & Provided &ca.- Bowne pr Domi Rega— Test Marmaduke
   Tilden . on the Back of the Proceeding Bill of Indictm.t was Endorsed as—
   folls viz.t Billa vera pr MTilden foreman
   Command was therefore given to the Sherf. of Kent County the Seventh
   day of November in the Twelfth year of the Reigne of her now Majestie Anne
   &ca. That he Cause to Come William Howard of Worton hundred in Kent County
   afd Labourer if he Should be found in his Baylwick that all Excuses & Delays
   be Sett a part he be and appear before the Justices of our Said Court to be held at
   the Court house in the Town of Chester in Said County to Answer unto a Certain
   Bill of Indictment found against him by the Grand Jury being Lawfully —
   warned to help mend & Repair w.th other persons the publick & main Roads —
   Landing from & through a Certain neck within the District afd Between
                                                                                                             Worton
