   Her Majestie | Kent County Maryland Ss The Jurors for our Sovereigne Lady the
           at | Queen that now is & the Body of Kent County afd upon their Oath~
   Chr Rye ——   | do presen[t] that Christopher Rye of the Parish of Shrewsbury in-
   Kent County afd Planter the Sixth day of March in the Year of our Lord Christ Seventeen
   hundred & thirteen at the Parish of Shrewsbury in Kent County afd within the -
   Jurisdicõn of this Court one Gelt called a Sow Shote the age of Eight months of
   the price of four Shillings Sterling money the goods and Chattells of A Certain Person-
   to the Jurors unknown then and there being found feloniously did Kill take Steal
   & bear away against the Peace of our Said Lady the Queen her Crown & Dignity
   & against the forme of an Act of Assembly of this Province in that Case made

   Evidence
   On the Back of the prceeding Bill was Endorsed as folls vizt
   A true Bill pr Phillp Holeadger foreman       Evidences Joseph Rye
   Rebecah Rye Robert [Maccay?] John Clayton—
      And now at this Court vizt this third day of June Anno Domini~
   one thousand Seven hundred and fourteen the Said Christopher Rye being
   Called Came and in his proper person appeared to the above Indictment and.
   prays that he may have Council Assigned him he being Ignorant in ye Premises
   and the afd Indictm.t being Read to him Pleads not guilty and for tryall —
   Puts himselfe on the Country   Christopher Rye in proper person
    and he who follows for our Lady the Queen Says he is Guilty Bowne .

     Command was thereof given to the Sherf of Kent County that he immediately
   Cause to Come here Twelve &ca. By whom &ca. To Recognize &ca. who neither &ca.
   Because as well &ca. and the Sherf Comes and Saith that he hath Ready
   twelve &ca. as by his precept it was Commanded vizt Samuel Thomas Philip
   Davis Samuel Weckes Daniel Turrilo James Ryly John Hendrickson William
   Simson Thomas Ringgold Edward Worrell Samuel Tovey Richard Davis John~
   Green which Jury being duely Elected tryed and Sworn~    ordered by the
   Court here that Francis Cooke one of the attrys of this Court be Council for
   the Prisoner The Said Christopher is Committed into ye Custody of the
     Sherrf of Said County & the above Jury haveing heard ye Pleadings Evidences
