June Court 1714 19 & Allegations on both Sides And the Court gives them a Charge do depart from ye Barr and after Some time do againe return to ye barr & being Called over do all appear as also the Plt & Deft And being Asked whether they are agreed on A verdict or not do Say they are agreed on A verdict And being Demanded whether they find for the Plt. or Deft. Do Say they find for the Plt. and that the Deft did Assume in that manner & form as pleaded and Assess Damages as declared and by Samuel Thomas there foreman al So Say and the Said Plt by his afd attorney prays Judgment on the verdict afd = Therefore it is Considered by the Court here viz.t this Second day of June Anno Domini one Thousand Seven hundred & fourteen That the afd Plt Bartholomew Browne do Recover against the Said Deft Daniel Coly ye afd Sume of Two Thousand nine hundred Twenty two pounds of~ Tobacco Damages by ye Jury afd assessed & also the Sume of Seven Hundred & ninety five pounds of Tobacco Costs by the afd Plt about his Suite in this Behalfe Expended and by the Court here of his assent adjudged And the Said Deft in mercy &ca Jams Smith Clk
