                                 March Court 1715                               169 
   Sterling money which to him he oweth & from him unjustly —
   detaineth And five Thousand five hundred Sixty two pounds
   of Sound Merchantable leafe Tobacco in Cask of ye value of -
   twenty three pounds three Shillings & Six pence Sterling —
   money which he unjustly detains &ca. And Whereupon ye
   Said Plt by Thomas Bowne his attry Saith that whereas
   ye afd Deft~ ye fifteenth day of March Anno Domi Seventeen
   hundred & thirteen at ye Parish of S.t Paul in Kent County afd
   within ye Jurisdiciõn of this Court by his Certain writing obli:
  :gatory which the Said Sealed with his Seal and as his deed
   delivered hereinto Court brought ye date whereof is the Same
   day & year afd Granted himselfe holden and firmly —
   bounded to the afd Plt. in the afd full & just Sume of four .
   pounds two Shillings & ten pence Sterling money and the
   afd five Thousand five hundred Sixty & two pounds of~
   Sound Merchantable leafe Tobacco in Cask of ye afd value
   of twenty three pounds three Shillings & Six pence Sterl[ing]
   money to be paid to the Same Plt when thereto required yet~
   the afd Deft altho often required the afd four pounds two —
   Shillings & tenn pence Sterling money and the afd fice Thou:
  :Sand five hundred Sixty two pounds of Tobacco to the Said Plt
   hath not rendered but the Same to render ye Said Deft~ hitherto
   hath denied and yet doth deny and the afd Tobacco unjustly
   detains to the damage of the Said Plt~ forty pounds —
   Sterling money and thereupon he brings Sute &ca.
                TBowne pr Querr plegs &ca Jno Doe & Richd Roe~
   And the afd Deft being Called Came and by John Roberts his
   attry appeared to the above Accõn and the afd Plt~ by —
