   William Halts | County in the province of Maryland Carpen:
  :ter was Summoned to Answer unto Renatus Smith of a plea that he
   render him ye full Sum and Just Quantity of three thousand two hundred
   pounds of good Sound Merchantable Leafe Tobacco in Cask to Contain ye
   Same of ye value of thirteen pounds Six Shillings and Eight pence -
   Sterling money which he unjustly detains &ca. And Whereupon—
   the afd Renatus Smith by Thomas Bowne his attry Saith that whereas
   ye afd William ye Sixteenth day of 10ber. Anno Domini Seventeen
   hundred and thirteen at ye Parish of St. Paul in Kent County afd wthin
   ye Jurisdiciõn of this Court by his Certain Bill obligatory which the Said
   William Sealed with his Seale & as his deed delivered here in Court—
   brought the date whereof is ye Same day & year afd bound himselfe to
   pay or Cause to be paid to the afd Renatus by ye name of Renatus Smith
   of Queen Anns County in ye afd Province the afd full Sum & just quantity
   of three thousand two hundred pounds of Tobacco qualified as afd
   in Cask to Contain ye Same of ye afd value of thirteen pounds Six Shills
   and eight pence Sterling money at or upon demand after the nine:
  :teenth day of the afd 10.ber in Kent County afd Yet the afd William ye
   afd three thousand two hundred pounds of Tobacco to ye Said Renatus
   altho? after the Said nineteenth day of 10ber viz on the third day
