                                    March Court 1715                                     161  
   Court by his certain writing obligatory which the Said Deft~. Sealed with
   his Seale and as his deed delivered hereinto Court brought the date —
   whereof is the Same day and year afd did bind himselfe his heires
   Executors and Administrators to pay or cause to be paid to the afd —
   Edward by ye name of Capt. Edward Plestoe of ye Same County ye afd
   two Thousand pounds of good Sound Merchantable leafe Tobacco
   in Casque of ye value of Eight pounds Six Shillings and Eight pence
   Sterling money Convenient in Kent County abovesd in or upon~
   the first day of 9ber. next Ensueing ye date of ye afd writing obli[:]
  :gatory Yet the afd Deft. altho; often required the afd two Thousand
   pounds of Tobacco to the afd Edward hath not rendered or paid
   nor caused to be paid but the Same to render or pay the Sd Deft~
   hitherto hath denied and Yet denys and unjustly detains to the
   damage of the Said Edward the Value of twelve pounds Sterling
   money and thereupon he brings Suite &ca. TBowne pr Querr.
   Plegs &ca. Jno Doe & Richd Roe
   And the afd Deft~. by James Earle his attry appears to the
   above accõn and Prays liberty thereof to imparle and to answr.
   at next Court which is granted the Same day is given the Plt also
     At which Said next Court vizt. ye 16th. day of August Anno Domi
   one Thousand Seven hundred and fifteen Came the afd Plt by
   Thomas Bowne his attry and Prays that the afd Deft may to
   his Decln afd Answer after which the Same Cause was Con :
  : tinued untill the then next Court .    .    .
     Att which Said next Court vizt the fifteenth day of Novber—
   the Same year last mentioned the Same Cause was Conti :
  : nued untill the then next Court
     Att which Said next Court vizt. this twenty fourth day of
   March Anno Domi one Thousand Seven hundred &
   fifteen The Same Cause Standing for tryall Came the afd
   Plt. by Thomas Bowne his attry and the Said Deft by James
