                                    March Court 1715                                       160 
   Last Said faithfully promised that She the Said Mary the afd thirteen—
   hundred & fifty pounds of Tobacco to the Same William when thereun:
  :to afterwards required would well & truly pay & Content Yet the afd
   Mary her promise & Assumption afd not regarding ye afd thirteen —
   hundred & fifty pounds of Tobacco to the Same William altho’ —
   afterwards required viz on ye fifth day of June Anno Domini Seventeen
   hundred & fourteen She was at the Parish of S.t Paul in Kent County afd
   within the Jurisdiciõn of this Court thereunto required hath not paid no[r]
   made Content for ye Same but the Same to pay She the Said Mary
   hitherto hath denied and yet denys to the damage of the Said Will.m
   Three thousand pounds of Tobacco and thereupon he brings Sute.
   &ca.   TBowne pr Querr Plegs &ca. John Doe & Richard Roe And
   the afd Plt by his afd Attry prays that the afd Deft. to his Decln
   afd may Answer. . And the afd Deft.~ on the third day of Augst-
   Anno Domini One Thousand Seven hundred and fourteen Came
   into Court and in her proper person appeared to the abovesd Accõn
   and prayd liberty thereof to imparle thereto and to Answer at.
   the then next Court which was granted the Same day was given
   the Plt also —
    And the Same Cause being Continued from Court to Court untill
   this present Court And now at this Court viz this twenty third day of
   March Anno Domi 1715 The Same Cause Standing for Tryal Came .
   the afd Plt. by Thomas Bowne his attry and the Said Deft~ in her
   proper person and She the Sd Deft Saith that She Cannot gainsay ye.
   accõn afd of him the Sd Plt. So as afd brought and that She oweth
   unto the afd Plt the Sume of thirteen hundred and fifty pounds
   of Tobacco and is willing that Judgment Should be entred for the
   Same and Cost thereon accrueing Therefore it is Considered
   by the Court here viz the day last mentioned That the afd Plt~
   William Frisby do Recover against the afd Deft Mary Bowles
   the afd Sume of thirteen hundred and fifty pounds of Tobacco —
   Damages as also the Sume of two hundred Eighty nine pounds of Tobo
