   Thomas Smyth Esqr | Commanded it was to the Sherf of Kent
             —— | County the Sixteenth day of Novemb.r in the
               at | Second Year of the Reigne of his now Majestie
   Thomas Joce — | George &ca. That he take Thomas Joce of
   ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ | Kent County Planter alis Dics Thomas Joce
   of Kent County if he Should be found in his baylwick & him Safe keep So
   that he have his body before his Said Majesties Justices of the next
   Court to be held at our Court house in the Town of Chester in Said —
   County to Answ.r unto Thomas Smyth of Said County of a plea that~
   he render to him the Just Sume of five hundred and fifty pounds
   of good Tob. and Caske of ye value of forty five Shillings and tenn —
   pence Sterlg money of Great Brittain which from him he unjustly
   detains &ca. And that he have then and there the Said writ &ca
   Att which Said next Court vizt the Twentieth day of March the Same
   year last mentioned the day of return of Said writ Came William
   Frisby Gent high Sherf of Said County and made return thereof
   in these words thereon Endorsed as folls vizt. Cepi Corpus pr Wm Ffrisby She.
   And a decln being filed when Said writ Issued forth and a Copy —
   thereof Served therewith (according to Act of assembly in Such Case~
   made) which was as folls viz Kent County in Maryland Ss Thomas Joce
   of Kent County Planter alis Dics Thomas Joce of Kent County was —
   Summoned to Answer unto Thomas Smyth of Said County of plea
   that he render to him the Just Sume of five hundred and fifty pounds
   of good Tob. and Caske of ye value of forty five Shillings and tenn—
   pence Sterlg money of Great Brittaine which from him he unjust:
  :ly detains &ca. And Whereupon the Said Thomas Smyth by Tho.s
   Bowne his attorney Saith that whereas the afd Thomas Joce ye twelfth
   day of August In the Year of our Said Christ one Thousand Seven hundred
   and thirteen at the Parish of S.t Pauls in Kent County afd within the
   Jurisdiciõn of this Court by his Certain writeing obligatory which the
   Said Thomas Joce Sealed with his Seale and as his deed delivered here
   unto Court brought the date whereof is the Same day and Year afd bou[nd]
