                                         March Court 1715
   his attorney complains that whereas the afd Anthony the twenty Secon[d]
   day of October in the year of our Lord one Thousand Seven hundred &
   fifteen at the Parish of St. Pauls in the County afd & within the .
   Jurisdiciõn of this Court was Indebted unto the Said James in the Sume
   or quantity of five hundred & forty Six pounds of Merchantable Tobacco
   for divers goods wares & Merchandizes (in an Account hereunto annexed
   particularly menconed) the Said Anthony by the Said James & at.
   the Special Instance & request of him the Said Anthony then & there
   Sold & delivered and being So indebted he the Said Anthony the
   day & year afd at the parish & County afd & within the Jurisdiciõn
   afd in Consideration thereof did assume upon himselfe & to the
   Said James then & there faithfully promised that he the Said —
   Anthony the afd Sume or q.ty of five hundred forty & Six pound .
   of Tobacco to the Said James when he Should be thereunto required
   would well & truly content~ & pay Ye6t Nevertheless the afd Antho
   his promise & assumption afd in forme afd made little minding
   but plotting & fraudulently intending the Said James in this part~
   part Craftily & Subtilly to deceive & defraud the Said Sum of five .
   hundred forty Six pounds of Tobacco or any part thereof to the Said
   James (altho’ to do the Same the Said Anthony by the Said James
   the first day of Novemb.r in the year afd & oftner Since at the -
   parish County & Jurisdiciõn afd hath been thereunto required) hath
   not paid nor him for the Same hath any ways contented but to pay the
   Same to him hath altogether refused & Still doth refuse wherfore he
   Saith he hath damage to the value of one Thousand pounds of Tobo.
   and thereupon he brings Suite &ca. Johnson pr qr. pls Jno Doe Rd Roe.
