March Court 1715 143 Said Christopher Knight Shall not render &ca After which the Said Christopher in his proper person appeared to the above accõn and Saith that he Cannot gainsay the accon afd of him the Said Benjn nor but that the writeing obligatory above mentioned is his Act & deed & that he oweth unto the Said Benjamin the Sume in the Decln above Set forth and is willing that Judgment Should be entred for the Same with Cost thereon accrueing . Therefore it is Considered by the . Court here vizt. this Twenty Second day of March Anno Domini one Thousand Seven hundred and fifteen That the afd Plt Benjamin Griffiths Recover against the Said Deft Christopher Knight as well the afd Sume of Ffive hundred and fifty pounds of Tobacco ye- debt afd as also the Sume of Three hundred and Seven pounds of Tobacco Costs by the Said Plt about his Suite in this behalfe laid out and Expended and by the Court here of his assent adjudg[ed] and the Said Deft~. in mercy &ca. deceased at ye time of his death who died Intestate as tis Said if he Should be found in his Baylwick and him safe keep So that he have his body before his Said Majesties Justices of the next Court to be held at our Court house in the Town of Chester in Said County to Answer unto James Campbell of Sd County of a plea of Trespass upon - ye Case And that he have then and there the Said writ &ca. at which Said next Court viz the Twentieth day of March the Same year last mentioned Came the Day of return of Said writ Came William Frisby Gent high Sherf of Said County and made return thereof in these words thereon Endorsed as folls viz Cepi Corpus pr Wm Ffrisby Shef- and |
