                                         March Court 1715
   Glanvill of Said County and Acknowledged himselfe a Special bayle [in]
   [t]he aforesd accõn and doth undertake ye Payment of the Damages
   [&] Costs [illegible] in case the Said Plt Should obtaine Judgment agst the
   [sa]id Deft in the afd Accõn of Trespass upon the Case and the Said Deft
   [the] Condemnation afd Shall not Satisfie nor himselfe to the Custody of
   [th]e Sherf of Said County deliver or that the afd William Glanvill the
   body of the Said John Hodges Shall not render &ca- .
     And the afd Deft by John Johnson his attry appears to the above
   accõn and Puts in a plea as folls vizt And the afd John Hodges by
   John Johnson his Attorney comes & defends the force & Injury when
   &ca. And Saith that he did not assume upon himselfe in Such manr.
   & forme as the afd John Young in his Decln afd ag.st him above hath
   Supposed And thereupon he puts himselfe on the Country Johnson pr Deft
   Afterwards Came the afd Plt. by John Johnson his attry afd and
   with draws his plea afd and desires it Should be taken for nothing
   And now Comes into Court the afd Deft In his proper person and
   Saith that he Cannot gainsay the accõn afd of him the Said Plt and
   that he hath had all the articles in ye afd Accon Set forth and
   that he oweth the Said Plt. for the Same and Saith that he is willing
   that Judgment Should be Entred against him for the afd Sume of
   three pounds Eleaven Shillings Currant money of the province afd
   and the Cost thereon accruing Therefore it is Considered by
   the Court here viz this Twenty Second day of March Anno Domini
   one Thousand Seven hundred and fifteen That the afd Plt John~
   Young Recover against the Said Deft~ John Hodges as well the
   Sume of Three pounds Eleaven Shillings Currant money of the
   Province of Maryland Damages and also the Sume of Three hundred
   and fifty Seven pounds of Tobacco Cost by the afd Plt. about his Suite
   in this behalfe laid out and Expended and by the Court here of his
   assent adjudged & ye Said Deft in mercy &c.a
