   Lord Ship   . | Kent County Maryland Ss The Jurors for the Lord
           at | Proprietor of this province & the body of Kent County
   John Murphey | upon their Oath do present That John Murphey late of


Kent County Labourer the first day of October the Year
   of our Lord one Thousand Seven hundred & fifteen at Morgans Creek -
   upper hundred in the County afd within the Jurisdiciõn of this Court & .
   at divers other Days & times as well before as after ye fear of God
   before his Eyes not having did Comitt fornication with a Certain —
   Ruth Pillow to the high displeasure of Almighty God & to the Evill
   example of Other ag.st the peace &ca. & ag.st the forme of an Act of
   Assembly of this Province in that case made & provided Johnson
   pr Dne proprietor    On the back of the preceeding bill was ——
   Endorsed as folls viz Billa Vera pr Simon Wilmer foreman——
     And the Said John being Called Came and in his propr person
   apprd to the afd Indictm.t and the Sameb eing Read the afd.
   John Saith that he Cannot deny but that he did Committ fornicacõn
   with a Certain Ruth Pillow the person above speciffied and to ye
   Same Indictment Submitts. Therefore it is Considered by the
   Court here viz this twenty first day of March Anno Domini
   one Thousand Seven hundred and fifteen That the afd John~
   Murphey pay the Sume of Six hundred pounds of Tobacco Debt
   for Committing the fact of fornication afd according to an Act of
   Assembly in Such Cases made &ca. and also the Sume of Two hundred
   Sixty five pounds of Tobacco Costs on the premises afd ariseing -
   ordered by the Court here that the Said John Murphey pay to
   Mr of Francis Collins of this County when free the Sume of Three
   hundred pounds of Tobacco the halfe of the Charge About the
   Lying Inn of Ruth Pillow at his house and for trouble & discrace
   ordered by the Court here that the afd Francis Collins deliv.r up
   to this Court the afd John Murphey when free
