March Court 1715 130 one hundred and fifty Eight pounds of Tobacco Cost on the premises ariseing M.r William Frisby Sherf of this County Comes into Court and Saith that he will pay to the Coty thirty Shillings Currant money the fine afd for the afd Timothy Slauter ordered by this Court here that the Said Timothy give Surety to keep ye County Clear from all Charge that Shall or may accrue on Account of the Same Timothy Slauter afd acknowledges himselfe indebted to his Lord Ship his heires and Successrs in the Sume of Ffive Thousand pounds of Tobacco to be Leveyed on his goods and Chattells Lands and Tenem.ts Conditionally that if he do not keep the County Clear from all Charge that hath or Shall accrue on Account of his begetting a Child on the body of a Certain Mary Tendall wherewith he acknowledges himselfe to be Content. Likewise Comes into Court James Meeks [Mecks?] and Cornelius Royan both of this County and acknowledged themselves indebted to his Said Lord Ship his heires & Success.rs in the Sume of Two Thousand five hundred pounds of Tobacco Each to be levey’d on their goods and Chattells Lands & Tenemts. Conditionally that if the afd Timothy Slauter Shall keep the County Clear from all Charges that hath or Shall accrue on Account of him the afd Timothy begitting a Child on the body of a Certain Mary Tendall afd wherewith they acknowledges themselves to be therew.th Content~ ordered by this Court here that Sumõns Issue Returnable to ye next Court ag.st the afd Mary Tendall~ to answer as afd Philip Pryer Margret Pryer and John Linckhorn as Evides for his Lord Ship Sworn and Sent to the Grand Jury |
