March Court 1715 126 do hereby authorize and Empower You or any of you to administer the Oaths apptd. by Act of Parliament to be taken instead of the Oaths of allegiance and Supre: :macy the Oath of abjuration and the Oath of Justice to James Harris William~ Blay Lambert Wilmer and Henry Lowe Junior or any of you having taken ye Said Oaths are Impowered to administer the Same unto the Justices and Com: :missioners respectively as they are nominated in the within Commission and wee will that you and every of you having taken the Said Oaths do Severally Subscribe the Test and the afd Oath of abjuration and for so doing this Shall be your Suff.t~ warrant and authority hereof faile not and when you have the Same So done You are to certifie the Same under your hands and Seals unto us in our high Court of Chancery with all Convenient Speed Witness our Trusty & well beloved John Hart Esq.r our Capt. Generall and Governour in Chiefe in and over this our Province of Maryland and the Territories thereunto belonging the 15.th Day of Febry in the first Year of our Dominion &ca Anno Dni 1715 Jo Hart~ Mr William Pott being one mentioned in the afd Dedimus doth administer the Oath of allegiance & Supremacy the Oath of abjuration & ye accustom’d Oath to M.r James Harris as above directed and all the Rest of the Justices & Commissioners were Sworn respectively as they are nominated in the afd Commission Except Mr William Comegys who was not at Court~. the Justices & Commiss.rs Sitts as folls vizt. and they all Signe the oath of abjurat[ion] Att A Court held for Kent County at the Court house in the Town of Chester in~ Said County on the Twentieth day of March and Continued the Twenty first~. Twenty Second Twenty third and Twenty fourth days of the Same month in the first Year of his Lordships Dominion &ca. Anno Dni. one Thousand . Seven hundred and fifteen before
