                                        Novemb.r Court 1715
   John Cockram of Kent County Planter ali Dics Jno Cockram of Kent County
   Plantber if he Should be found in his Baylwick and him Safe keep So
   that he have his body before his Said Majesties Justices of the next Court
   to be held at our Court house in the Town of Chester in Said County Answr.
   unto Renatus Smith by ye name of Renatus Smith of Queen Ans County.
   Gent of a plea that he render to him ye full & just Quantity of five hundred
   pounds of good Sound Marchantable leafe Tobacco in Cask of ye value of
   forty one Shillings and Eight pence Sterling money which he unjustly
   detains &ca. And that he have then and there the Said writ &ca. Att w.ch
   Said next Court vizt. this fifteenth day of Novemb.r ye Same yeare afd.
   the day of return of Said writ Came William Frisby Gent high Sherf.
   of Said County and made return thereof in these words thereon endorsed
   as folls vizt. Cepi Corpus pr Wm Frisby Sherf.
   But a Declaration being fild when Said writ Issued forth and a Copy.
   thereof Served therew.th according to Act~ of Assembly in Such Case made
   was as folls vizt. Kent County Ss John Cockram of Kent County planter ali.
   Dics Jno Cockram of Kent County Plantber was Summoned to Answer —
   Renatus Smith by ye name of Renatus Smith of Queen Ans County Gent
   of a plea that he render to him ye full & just Quantity of five hundred
   pounds of good Sound Merchantable leafe Tobacco in Cask of ye value of -
   forty one Shillings and Eight pence Sterling money which he unjustly
   detains &ca. And Whereupon the Said Plt by Thomas Bowne
   his attry Saith that whereas the afd Deft~ the thirtieth day of 8.ber Anno
   Domini Seventeen hundred & Twelve at the Parish of St Pauls in Kent.
   County afd within the Jurisdiciõn of this Court by his Certain Bill obligatory
   which the Said Deft~ Sealed w.th his Seale & his deed Delivered here into
   Court brought the date whereof is the Same day and year afd did bind
   himselfe his heirs &ca. to pay to the afd Plt~. the afd full & Just Quantity
   of five hundred pounds of Tobacco Qualified as afd in Cask of the afd
   value of forty one Shillings and eight pence Sterling money Convenient
