   he take Edward Williams of K.t County otherwise called Edward Williams of Kent~.
   County Planter if he Should be found in his Baylwick and him Safe keep So —
   that he have his body before his Said Majesties Justices of the next Court~
   to be held at our Court house in the Town of Chester in Said County to Answer
   unto Thomas Bruff of Dorchester County Inholder the full Sum of three —
   thousand pounds of good Sound Merchantable leefe Tobo. in Cask Conveniant
   at Some landing in Kent County w.ch to him he ow’s and Unjustly detains &ca.
   And that he have then and there the Said writ &ca.   .    .    Att which Said .
   next Court vizt. this Sixteenth day of August in the Second year of his afd.
   Majesties Reigne &ca. the day of return of Said writ Came William Frisby .
   Gentln high Sherf of Said County and made return thereof in these words —
   thereon endorsed as folls vizt Cepi Corpus pr Wm Ffrisby Sher
   And the afd Deft. being called Came And the afd Plt~. by James Earle
   his attorney and prayd that the Said Deft. might~ give Special bayle
   to the afd accõn wch. was granted And that he be keept in Safe Custody
   by the Sherf of Said County untill He Shall give Special Bayle to the accõn
   afd.
    After which John Headin of this County here in Court cometh and.
   acknowledges himselfe as Special Bayle for the afd Edward Williams
   and doth undertake the payment of the debt afd and the Cost thereon
   accrueing if it Shall happen that the afd Plt~ Shall obtain Judgment~.
   against the afd Deft~. in the afd accõn of debt And the Said Deft~.
   the Condemnation afd Shall not Satisfie nor himself to the Custody of.
   the Sherf of Said County deliver or that the afd John Heading the body of
   the afd Edward Shall not render &ca.
    After which the afd Deft came into Court and in his proper person—
   appeared to the above accõn and Saith that he Cannot gainsay the accõn
   afd of him the Said Plt~ nor but that he is indebted the afd Sume of
   three thousand pounds of Tobacco the debt above mentioned and is -
   willing that Judgment Should be entred for the afd Sume of
   and Cost~ thereon accrueing . Therefore it is Considered by the
