       Maryland Prince Georges County Sct
       I William A Jarboe Register of Wills for the aforesaid county
       in the State aforesaid do hereby certify that Benjamin
       who calls himself Benjamin Shields is of a dark
       complexion five feet ten and a half inches high has
       a small scar on his right forehead and one on his
       right arm a few inches above the wrist was set
       free by the last will and testament of William
       Cooper bearing date the twenty first day
       of August in the year of our Lord 1854 now
       on record in my office

                       In Testimony Whereof I hereunto set my
                       hand and affix the seal of the Orphans Court
       (Seal of)   of Prince Georges County this sixth day of
       (Office)    June Anno Domini 1854
                      Test William A Jarboe Register of Wills


       Identified upon oath by William Cooper June
       6.th 1854 and the said Cooper also testifies positively
       to the occurrence of the contingency
       upon which said negroes freedom
       depended
