       I William A Jarboe Reg of Wills for Prince Georges
       County do hereby certify that the bearer hereof
       Negro man Henry five feet five inches hight &
       about 42 years of age who calls himself Henry
       Jones born and raised in the family of William
       Pumphrey dark complexion having a scar
       between the under lip and skin and one on the
       fore finger of his wrigh hand is a free man
       of Coll and became entitled to his freedom
       by virtue of the last will and testament of  
       Lloyd Pumphrey late of Said county deceased
       bearing date the 12.th day of August 1827 duly
       proven and recorded in the office of the
       Register of Will for said county on the 11.th
       of December 1827

                               In testimony whereof i hereunto
                               subscribed my name and affixed
          (Seal)            the Seal of the Orphans
                               Court for Prince Georges County
                               this 6.th day of October 1853
