       Maryland Prince Georges County to wit

            I hereby certify that the bearer hereof a negro
       woman who calls herself Hanny Butler about
       thirty Eight years of age of a black complexion
       five feet two inches and an half high with a
       small scar in her forehead and who was born in
       Charles County is a freewoman and obtained
       her freedom by the Judgment of the late
       General Court of the western shore from Rinaldo
       Johnson
                Given under my hand and seal of office
                this twenty third day of July in the year
                Eighteen Hundred and twelve

       Maryland Prince Georges County to wit

            I hereby certify that the bearer hereof a negro
       man who calls himself Charles otherwise Charles
       Tenny about forty seven years old five feet
       seven inches and three quarters of an inch high
       of a black complexion with a deep scar on the
       thumb of the left hand and who was raised in
       Prince Georges County by the late Col.o John
       Addison is a freeman and obtained his freedom
       in virtue of a Deed of Manumission from
       Nicholas Lowe bearing date the twenty first
       day of January Eighteen Hundred duly acknowledged
       & recorded in one of the Land records of the county aforesaid
