       Prince Georges County Sc.t

       I hereby certify that the bearer hereof Richard who
       calls himself Richard Gray a Bright Mulatto
       man about twenty two years of age five feet seven
       Inches & a quarter high has several scars on his right
       leg near his ancle ^the largest of which^ occasioned by a Bite from a Dog
       that the said Richard Gray is a free man and
       was born free in the County aforesaid being
       the reputed son of Peggy Gray a free woman
       of colour
