27 the nineteenth day of February in the year Eighteen Hundred and Eleven from the said Osborn Sprigg and recorded in one of the Land record Books of Prince Georges County Given under my hand and seal of office this twentieth day of November in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and Eleven John Read Magruder J.r Clk P G Cy C.t The State of Maryland Prince Georges County to wit I hereby certify that the bearer hereof a bright mulatto woman by the name of Anoca five feet three inches high who has a large nose a small scar on the top of her left sholder and a white spot on her left thigh is free and became entitled to her freedom by a Deed of Manumission from John H. Beanes bearing date the nineteenth day of September 1809 & duly executed and recorded in my office on the same day The said woman was raised in the family of William Clagett late of the county aforesaid Deceased with when widow the said John H. Beanes intermarried. I further certify that a Negro Girl by the name of Lucy five years old about three feet six inches high of a dark complexion and having a prominant forehead who is the Daughter of the aforesaid woman |
