       this twenty eighth day of December eighteen
       Hundred and ten

Rend January 18.th 1832


       The State of Maryland Prince Georges County to wit

             I hereby certify that the bearer hereof Negro
       Charles a black man about forty three years
       old five feet four inches high having a scar
       on his left breast and one on the inside of his
       left wrist who was raised by Shadrack Turner
       late of the county aforesaid Deceased is a
       freeman and became entitled to his freedom
       by virtue of a Deed of Manumission from
       Sarah Turner Samuel Turner and John Turner
       dated the fifth day of November Seventeen
       Hundred and Ninety Nine and duly acknowledged
       and recorded in the records of the county
       court of the county aforesaid

                Given under my hand and seal of office
                this twenty eighth day of December
                Eighteen Hundred and ten
