                I hereby certify that Nathan otherwise called Nathan Butler
       the bearer hereof a dark mulatto ^Black^ Boy about Eighteen years of age five
       feet nine and a half Inches high has scars on four ^of the^ fingers of his left hand
       occasioned by a burn and several small scars on his right hand and right rist
       some of which are scarcely perceptable  That the said Nathan is a free Boy
       and was born free in the County aforesaid being the reputed Son of Henny Butler
       a free woman of Colour
